Quebec Fine art School

1961-1962

With artist Jean Demers, I restore two historical farm houses in Sainte Famille Ile d’Orléans Qc. Canada. One of these houses becomes the restaurant L’Âtre and attains an international reputation.

1962-1970

Mother of four children, I teach piano at Marymount Collège in Ste Foy Qc. I publish a musical theory for children and obtain a Master’s degree in piano interpretation at Laval University Qc

1970-1990

Travels to the United States Mexico and France broaden my perspectives, reveal new challenges. I return to painting in the mid 70’s. Divorcing in 1979, I find myself assuming every aspect of family responsibilities hence the necessity to manage L’Âtre. alone. Winters are devoted to my artistic work and I take part in exhibitions.

1990-2004

In 1994, with artist friend Jean Marie Bastien, I open a gallery in my historical house next to L’Âtre . From 1994 1998, visitors from through out the world visit the gallery and my work is now part of private collections in the States, Europe and Canada. During those years, I pilot many struggles as to protect my historical environment and fight and win three cases, one in Superior court. In 1998, tired of being torn apart in endless fights, I close the restaurant and devote all of my time to my art.
